Growing up I had always had a passion for baking. I loved making things that tasted and looked good for others to eat. I joined a culinary competition team in high school, where I discovered my true passion for desserts.
When I graduated high school in 2014 I was accepted into the Baking and Pastry Program at The Art Institutes International: Kansas City. I chose the path of an accelerated graduate program and graduated just over a year later with an Associates of Applied Science: Baking and Pastry in March 2016.
I accepted my first position in a production bakery inside Ameristar Casino in September of 2016. By the time July of 2017 came around I had discussed with my fiancé the possibility of starting my own business. We both agreed now was the time to move forward and thus Crumbs and Confections was born!
On July 15, 2017 I opened for business. I had my first cake order placed on July 18th and from there I’ve grown exponentially! As of December 31st, 2018 I have made over 250 orders in the past 18 months, and close to 50 weddings!
